Besides regulating qi, what is another important action of Da Fu Pi (arecae pericarpium)?

Clears heat toxicity; for carbuncles, sores, and boils
Promotes urination to treat edema; especially for superficial edema under the skin
Calms restless fetus to prevent miscarriage
Kill parasites; for roundworm, tapeworm, and fungal infection

Da Fu Pi makes you pee. This is often used alongside other peels (e.g. Sheng Jiang Pi, Sang Bai Pi, Fu Ling Pi) to treat skin edema.
